Pole Green Produce in Mechanicsville

Tucked in the heart of tomato country in Hanover County, is Pole Green Produce in Mechanicsville. If ultra-fresh and locally grown produce is what you're looking for...go where the Mechanicsville locals go.

Pole Green Produce, located at the corner of Pole Green Road and Lee-Davis Rd, is as fresh as you can get. Most of the vegetables are grown at farms just a few miles away. They have a gigantic display of vegetables and fruits from the norm to the extravagant.

Of course- being in the middle of tomato country, Hanover Tomatoes are the specialty. Big, mountainous piles of red-ripe tomatoes overflowing the tables. Of course there are green tomatoes in you like yours fried.

But if a sweet Hanover yellow water-mellon is what you're looking for- you'll find that as well. In fact- I picked up a yellow watermelon and 5 lbs of Hanover peaches. Yummmmm! Check out the incredible selection of purple and white eggplant, Hanover blackberries, potatoes, cukes, melons...everything!

If you havent had a Hanover tomato...let me offer a suggestion. it's best straight off the vine..still warm from the summer sun. However- the next best option is sliced on a sandwich with real mayo...not the fake low-cal stuff...with salt a pepper. It sounds simple and it is...but thats the beauty of it.

Pole Green Produce in Mechanicsville carries more than just fresh vegges and fruits...they also have a great supply of local honey, preserves, granola, cookies and Montana Gold Bread.

If natural, locally grown vegetables and fruits are your thing- you really need to check out Pole Green Produce in Mechanicsville.
